Members of a mobile air defense unit stationed just outside the capital shared their feelings of disappointment but reaffirmed their determination to continue their fight. Addressing the situation while asking to remain anonymous for security reasons, Oleksiy stated, “It is a pity, but we will fight,” indicating his belief that the decision was not a reflection of the American people, but rather the choice of one individual.
Military Aid Cut and Its Implications
On March 3, Trump ordered a pause on military aid to Ukraine, aiming to pressure the Ukrainian government into pursuing a hastened peace agreement with Russia that many perceive to be unfavorable.
